Mon 12 June 2017

The crowd at Kilcoy enjoyed a great day of country winter racing for the 2017 Hibernian day. The mini-trots proved a crowd pleaser providing some less conventional on track action.

Meanwhile a showcase of great racing fashion made the judges’ job difficult in the fashions on the field parade. The male and female winner each taking home a beautiful watch.

In the cup, tote favourite Pippos took out the 2475 metre stayers race, with excited connections accepting the crystal trophy from club president, Tim Kelly.

The one-off move to Kilcoy was proven a success but the Hibernian Charity Races will return again next year to Beaudesert for a Saturday TAB meeting on 19 May, 2018.
